2026 is well advanced (can you believe we are a quarter of the way in!) so your new Community Festival committee is already working to put a brilliant program together for the town. The committee consists of some very enthusiastic local people with a wealth of experience in community projects – so we are now looking for people who would like to support the festival by running your own events or activities under the community banner.
Do you have a special interest and would like to meet others of a similar mind – or would you just like to create a social activity? The festival is open to individuals, organisations and businesses in the Shefford area without charge – we all play a part in the life of Shefford so we can all be part of the festival.
September may seem a long way away but really we need people to plan now so that activities can be properly added into the program.
We already have confirmation of some events – like the Garage Sale Trail and the Scarecrow Festival. Others like the Art Exhibition and the Bowls competition are regular annual events, plus there are a number of new events at the planning stage. It is hard to say that the excitement is building, but there are certainly positive things going on – we look forward to telling you more!
It may be worth looking at a couple of frequently asked questions here!
Once you have your idea then please contact us to discuss “How can I promote my event/activity at the Festival?”
